...And on from the Final
Although only 20 candidates went through to the Final everyone taking part thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The Academy’s aim is for every candidate, win or lose, is to leave with a sense of achievement, the assurance that they have learned something worthwhile and most of all to have enjoyed dancing. We also aim to give them a realistic idea of the life of a dancer; the thrill of performance, the sound of applause, the nerves and excitement; but also the hours of rehearsing it takes and the commitment that is necessary to be a dancer. Many of last years candidates have since gone on to pursue professional training at some of Britain’s top vocational schools.
